Big Changes:

When I started this blog, I promised to change things up around here as much as possible. With that, today we are pleased to announce two new additions that will change up the flow of things around the site: A new writer and a new segment.

More on our new additions after the jump.

The first addition we will be making to Tape to Tape is a new writer. After a slow period this summer, things have begun to really come together here. With our reader base growing it is only fitting that our post count also increase.

Unfortunately, as a full time employee finding time to write extensive posts daily gets a little tough. As much as I would love to be able to, I simply don't have the time. Help was needed.

After searching for someone with writing skills and hockey knowledge I found someone who I think will be a great addition to the blog. With that, I would like to welcome Art to Tape to Tape.

From Michigan, Art is a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and will be adding a new voice to the site. His extensive knowlege of the Western Conference and Central division will be extremely appreciated. Keep an eye out for Art's first post as a writer! Welcome aboard Art!

Next on the agenda: A new feature. "Top Shelf Tuesdays" got off to a great start and I think will be one of the key elements to this blog once the regular season begins. Obviously, with the slow summer months there isn't always enough material to create long recaps with analysis and breakdowns. Regular posts can be delayed because there isn't much news amongst other problems. However, once the hockey season is underway, it will be a consistent feature you will see week to week.

This new feature will not be like Top Shelf Tuesdays. In fact, it does not rely on news around the league but instead will be an argument/debate style post that will feature two parts, every time. As of right now the first segment is under way and should be up soon.

I am extremely pleased to announce our new addition to the blog called "Five for Fighting". What we will be doing in this segment is covering one controversial topic with two differing view points. Art will be writing one side of the argument and I will be writing the other, giving you (the readers) an in depth look at different sides to an argument.

I am very excited seeing where this blog is going and with the changes we are making around here hopefully you will be too.

Keep an eye out for both Art and Five for Fighting in the very near future!
